Focusing on the Yamano College of Aesthetics, the purpose of the special Japanese language course is to teach foreigners who wish to proceed to domestic universities or technical schools with beauty-related courses about the Japanese language, conditions in Japan, Japanese culture, etc., cultivating the abilities which will be fundamental to their scholarly activities in order to train human resources with an international perspective who will become leaders in the beauty industry.

In the special Japanese language course which is based at one of the largest-scale beauty schools in Japan, students will not only learn the Japanese language but also increase their communication skills through classes where they can experience Japanese beauty techniques and interchange with the students of Yamano College.

Course Outline/Features

There are 2 courses--a 1 year Japanese language course and a 1.5 year Japanese language course with admission in April. The period of stay is between 1 year and 2 years.
Japanese language instruction is implemented in classes separated based on the students' Japanese language levels, whether or not they come from countries which use Chinese characters, etc. They classes are broken into A.M. and P.M. classes, with 4 hours of lectures per day.
The features of the special Japanese language course are:
1. Classes about beauty
2. Interchange with the regular students of Yamano College
3. Ability to use the same on-campus facilities and equipment as the regular students of Yamano College.
